Participation cost = AUD $5,000 

 

This is the per client cost that covers the direct costs borne by Austrade associated with the management and delivery of the event. Austrade is obliged to comply with the Australian Government Cost Recovery Policy. Specific details on the Policy and how it impacts the non-government sector can be found here.

 

  • a table for product display or sample tasting in the Austrade booth with Australian Nation brand, your company logo, and QR code linked to your PDF marketing material.  (please note: sampling is for existing exporters only as restrictions apply for sampling products that are not registered in Japan.)
  • access to the shared kitchen space set up in the Austrade booth with basic equipment including fridge, freezer, microwave, sink, and water server. (Details TBA.) 
  • access to the Austrade business meeting lounge located upstairs of the exhibition hall. Self-serviced coffee/tea is available.
  • inclusion in the Austrade e-directory/Foodex 2025 exhibitor profile to promote participants’ capabilities. (This will be shared with buyers prior to the show and distributed at the Austrade booth.)
  • exhibitor passes for all participants who set up and attend your table. (no limitation on number of passes but we require you to advise us of names of the attendees in advance)
  • a logistic service to receive shelf stable samples and deliver them to the booth arranged by Austrade (Austrade won't accept chilled, frozen, and fresh produce samples which require temperature-controlled storage and/or require quarantine inspection (e.g. meat and horticulture products) These need to be managed by the participants. Austrade will provide suggestions upon request.)
  • advertising costs for promoting Australian Pavilion. 
  • a representative from your company will be required to stay at your table during the show. All direct costs associated with samples, additional furniture and tools are at your responsibility.

Austrade will further support our Delegates through approximately 400 hours of work. This represents an unrecovered cost of work to ensure the event is a success. 

  • Project management including preparation for Austrade booth and meeting lounge, liaison with the show organiser (JMA) and State Governments for coordination of Australian National Pavilion. 
  • Arranging and managing pre-scheduled business meetings using Eventsair system and capturing ad-hoc meetings during the show. (Based on your preference Austrade team will aim to secure appointments during the show but this is not guaranteed due to subject to buyers’ interest and availability. If you are existing exporter with appointed importer/distributor in Japan and aim to increase your presence in the market, Austrade will need to know their contact details and confirm their plan.)
  • Pre-departure briefing Webinar for all Austrade booth participants with an optional service for 60 minutes individual pre-departure Teams meeting upon request.
  • Coordination of Austrade e-directory/Foodex 2025 exhibitor profile to promote participants’ capabilities.
  • Organisation/coordination of casual networking function. (Details TBA.)
  • Coordination of marketing campaign pre, during and post show. (includes direct marketing to targeted list of potential customers) 
  • On site assistance with business matching including basic interpretation services (due to limited resources Austrade won't offer a dedicated and tailored interpretation service. if required, we will provide referral of external interpretation service providers.) 
  • An optional program for visiting some selected supermarkets for studying local market.

Payment terms

Clients are expected to cover:

  • participation fees as outlined.
  • all travel, accommodation and incidental costs.
  • freight costs for samples and physical collateral.

Austrade requires payment upfront for all international events. The payment term is 30 days from invoice date and your place is not fully secured until the entire fee is paid. 

Please refer to the event terms and conditions for further detail. Non-payment by the applied deadline will result in the forfeit of your reserved place on the event.
