Why participate?

BIOFACH is especially valuable for exporters targeting Europe, the UK, Scandinavia, the Middle East, and premium Asian markets, where demand for certified organic and sustainably produced foods continues to grow. The event provides direct access to decision-makers across the organic value chain and offers opportunities to identify distributors, understand market trends, monitor competitors, and explore new export channels.

The ideal attendee is an organic-certified exporter with a differentiated product offering, a scalable supply chain, and a strategic interest in growing international sales through distributor, retail, or manufacturing partnerships.

Europe and the UK are important organic food markets for Australian exporters because they have some of the world's most mature organic sectors, with strong consumer awareness, established certification systems, and high demand for premium, sustainably produced food products. BIOFACH's host market, Germany, is one of the largest organic food markets globally, while the UK continues to see significant consumer demand for organic groceries, health foods, and environmentally responsible products. These markets often command premium prices, making them attractive destinations for Australian exporters with certified organic products and differentiated offerings.

Australian exporters also benefit from the strong alignment between Australia's reputation for clean production systems and European consumer preferences for traceability, sustainability, and high-quality food. Products such as organic grains, beef, lamb, dairy, wine, native ingredients, and value-added packaged foods can appeal to buyers seeking unique products with strong provenance stories. BIOFACH can provide direct access to importers, distributors, specialty retailers, and food manufacturers from across Europe and the UK, making it an efficient platform for developing new export partnerships and understanding evolving market trends.

In addition, Europe serves as a strategic gateway to a broader international customer base. Buyers attending BIOFACH come not only from Germany and the UK but also from Scandinavia, France, Benelux, Southern Europe, the Middle East, and other global markets. For Australian companies, establishing a distribution partner in Europe can therefore create opportunities to reach multiple countries through a single market-entry strategy. This makes participation in BIOFACH particularly valuable for export-ready businesses looking to scale internationally and build long-term relationships within the global organic food sector.
