Expression of Interest (EOI) for Australian Startups and Scaleups

Austrade is pleased to invite Australian startups and scaleups to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to be considered for a limited number of complimentary passes to 4 Years From Now (4YFN) 2027, held alongside Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona, one of the world's largest technology and innovation events on 1- 4 March 2027.

Through a partnership with 4YFN, Austrade has secured 5-8 complimentary passes for high-potential Australian companies seeking to expand internationally, raise capital, build strategic partnerships, and explore opportunities in Europe and beyond.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

Be an Australian-registered business
Offer an innovative technology-enabled product, service or solution
Demonstrate commercial potential and growth aspirations
Have a representative available to attend 4YFN 2027 in person
Cover all travel, accommodation and associated attendance costs

Both startups and scaleups are encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated against:

Innovation and uniqueness of the solution Commercial readiness and traction International growth potential Relevance of 4YFN to the company's business objectives Potential outcomes and value generated from attending the event

Austrade reserves the right to consider portfolio diversity, sector representation, and overall quality of applications when making final selections.

What Successful Companies Receive

Selected companies will receive:

One complimentary 4YFN delegate pass Access to the 4YFN startup ecosystem and networking opportunities
Access to Mobile World Congress exhibition areas (subject to pass category and organiser conditions)
Potential engagement opportunities with Austrade during the event

Please note that companies will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, visas, insurance, and any other associated expenses.

Successful Applicants Will Be Expected To Attend 4YFN 2027 in person; Participate actively in networking and business development activities; Represent Australian innovation professionally; Share outcomes and business opportunities generated through participation when requested by Austrade.

To express your interest, please complete the application form by 31 October 2026. Applications will be reviewed by Austrade and 4YFN, and successful applicants will be notified in November 2026.
