The Partnership Model
Team Australia Biotech Mission to BioKorea 2026 operates through a collaborative framework where State Governments lead the selection of biotech companies, clinical trials service providers and organisations, while Austrade provides the national platform and international infrastructure to host the delegation.
The Role of State Governments
State Governments serve as the primary points of contacts in Australia for the mission, identifying high-potential companies and working closely with Austrade to assess applicants for suitability and eligibility. They provide financial subsidies to lower the barrier to entry for participants and offer bespoke guidance to help companies assess their specific commercial potential within the Korean market.
The Role of Austrade
Austrade acts as the lead coordinator for the overarching Team Australia program, managing the mission's logistics and strategic delivery at BioKorea. Our role focuses on maximising business outcomes by facilitating high-value, targeted B2B matching sessions and providing the market intelligence necessary for companies to navigate the Korean biotech ecosystem successfully.
