Who should participate?

Austrade invites expressions of interest from Australian Medtech and digital health exporters that are seeking market expansion that meet the following criteria:

  • registered Australian business with a current ABN  
  • companies with TGA/CE marking/FDA approved solutions and expertise in one of the following areas:  
    • clinical diagnostics & therapeutic technologies
    • digital medicine, data & AI 
    • integrated care, rehabilitation & homecare 
    • healthcare infrastructure, manufacturing & quality
    • healthcare systems, education & global health
  • companies with a viable product offering, existing customers and revenue stream/s, or have existing funding to support market expansion 
  • companies who have (or are looking to establish) a presence in the European region and are interested in expanding to Germany
  • ability to clearly describe and communicate company objectives and vision for growth 
  • ability to travel to Duesseldorf, Germany to attend all activities, such as business meetings, pitch sessions and a networking event, between 16-19 November 2026


If you are interested in participating, please register your interest. Austrade's country and sector specialists and MTAA will review your application based on the above criteria and contact you regarding the outcome of your application. Please note there are limited slots available.

If successful, we will confirm your place in the program and provide further details on the program afterwards, including further advice on travel and accommodation logistics. 

Cost

Accepted clients will be invoiced AUD $5,000 per company by Austrade for participation in the delegation. 

Participation includes:
• attendance in market access program delivered by MTAA to prepare for MEDICA visit
• access and branded presence on the Australian booth of MEDICA to meet with potential partners and customers 
• feature in the Australian Client Directory promoted via digital channels prior to and during the show 
• inclusion in Austrade’s LinkedIn and DDM campaign to build awareness of and interest in capabilities

Participants will also need to cover their own travel expenses including flights, visas, accommodation, incidentals and shipping fees.  In order to provide the highest level of service to participants, places are strictly limited.   

Austrade requires payment upfront for all international events. The payment term is 14 days from the invoice date, and your place is not fully secured until the entire fee is paid.

Important information

Please refer to the terms of event participation for further detail. Non-payment by the applied deadline will result in the forfeit of your reserved place on the event.

Please note that the expression of interest in NOT yet an official registration to join the MEDICA delegation. Austrade and MTAA will evaluate all expressions of interest submitted. We will reach out to you to confirm your eligibility, as well as provide information on the next steps for registration and confirmation of participation.
