Who should participate?

Austrade invites expressions of interest from Australian agrifood businesses that are export ready and currently generating business revenue that meet the following criteria:

  • registered Australian business with a current ABN  
  • companies with capabilities and expertise in one of the following areas:  
    • packaged food
    • dairy
    • horticulture
    • functional food & beverages 
    • plant based options
    • seafood
      *please note that chocolate and confectionery products, alcohol-related products, and pet food are not eligible to exhibit at Gulfood.
  • companies who have (or are looking to establish) a presence in the region and are interested in expanding to the UAE
  • ability to travel to Dubai, UAE to attend all activities, such as business meetings and a networking event, between 15-19 March 2027

If you are interested in participating, please register your interest by 30 September 2026. Austrade's country and sector specialists will review your application based on the above criteria and contact you regarding the outcome of your application. Please note there are limited slots available.

If successful, we will confirm your place in the program and provide further details on the program afterwards, including further advice on travel and accommodation logistics. 

Cost to participate

As part of Austrade’s global business strategy in assisting Australian exporters to enter, scale up, and diversify business across international markets, Austrade is working towards delivering a program in the lead up to and during Gulfood 2027. However, participants will be expected to cover:

  • participation fee inclusive of direct exhibition booth costs. 
    • #1 booth - $ 9,000
    • #2 booths -$18,000 
  • coordinating, printing and managing your own promotional material, including brochures, product catalogues, flyers and giveaways 
  • cost of delivery of samples to the market, using the organiser’s referral list of service providers, to be presented during B2B meetings or displayed at the Australia lounge 
  • providing Austrade with digital information about your business, your products and capability in a standardised form for inclusion in our Exporter Guide or third-party providers (organisers and media channels).

By submitting an EOI you acknowledge that:

  • participant fee will apply if you are selected
  • places are limited and submitting an EOI does not guarantee participation
  • Austrade may amend the scope, pricing or timelines, or cancel the initiative at its discretion if required (e.g. insufficient numbers, venue constraints)
  • fees will be invoiced with payment terms advised at confirmation and are exclusive of any applicable taxes.

Participants will also need to cover their own travel expenses including flights, visas, accommodation, and incidentals.  In order to provide the highest level of service to participants, places are strictly limited.   

Austrade requires payment upfront for all international events. The payment term is 30 days from the invoice date, and your place is not fully secured until the entire fee is paid.

Please refer to the terms of event participation for further detail. Non-payment by the applied deadline will result in the forfeit of your reserved place on the event.

Australian companies should also obtain insurance coverage, please consult smartraveller for additional information. As a condition of participation, attendees acknowledge that travel to destinations subject to a DFAT Smartraveller Level 3 (“Reconsider your need to travel”) advisory involves elevated risks (advice as of September 2026). Attendees are responsible for assessing those risks, determining whether participation is appropriate for their personal circumstances, obtaining all appropriate travel and medical insurances for the region, and taking all reasonable steps to protect their own health, safety and wellbeing. 

By participating, attendees confirm that they understand and accept these risks and travel at their own discretion and responsibility. Please note that Austrade will only work with clients that maintain appropriate business ethics and demonstrate a commitment to legal obligations including anti-bribery laws, both in Australia and overseas markets. Please note that the expression of interest is NOT yet an official registration to join the delegation. Austrade will evaluate all expressions of interest submitted. We will reach out to you to confirm your eligibility, as well as provide information on the next steps for registration and confirmation of participation.
