Who should participate?

Austrade invites EOIs from export-ready Australian companies with clinical trials, biotechnology, manufacturing or enabling life sciences capabilities.

Companies should be a registered Australian business with a current Australian Business Number (ABN) and have a viable product or service relevant to international clinical development, biotechnology or manufacturing markets.

Relevant capability areas may include:

  • contract research organisations
  • bioanalytical laboratories
  • clinical trial sites and networks
  • R&D tax incentive specialists
  • clinical data management companies
  • clinical trial logistics and ancillary service providers
  • GMP, clinical or specialist manufacturing providers
  • biotechnology companies
  • platform technology companies supporting therapeutic development
  • other enabling service providers supporting clinical development and international partnering

Applicants should demonstrate a clear value proposition, market expansion objective and the capacity to participate in relevant offshore activities. Companies with, or seeking to establish, a presence, customer base or partnership in the relevant country or region are encouraged to express interest.

What happens next?

EOIs are open, so you can indicate your interest in multiple FY2026–27 activities through a single process.

Following submission, Austrade and, where relevant, participating state governments may contact companies to discuss:

  • company objectives and growth priorities
  • suitability for specific ACTI missions
  • market readiness and target markets
  • clinical development, biotechnology or manufacturing capability
  • capability positioning for international audiences
  • delegation preparation and next steps

Successful applicants will be provided with further information on relevant event opportunities, registration requirements and participation arrangements.
